How to get to the start of the Way
Getting to the start or finish of the Cotswold Way was quite easy compared to some National Trails as Chipping Campden is a short bus journey away from the railway station at Statford Upon Avon and at the other end of the Cotswold Way is Bath which also has a train station. The information below was corect in the Summer of 2017 but might not be accurate now.
Getting to Chipping Campden by Train
Chipping Campden does not have a Railway Station but a short bus ride will get you to Chipping Campden from either Moreton In Marsh or Stratford Upon Avon which both have Railway Stations. Moreton In Marsh can be reached from London Paddington or you can get to Stratford Upon Avon on trains from London Marylebone or from Birmingham Moor Street which is just a short walk from the main Birmingham New Street Station which is on the West Coast Main Line.
Getting to Chipping Campden by Bus
Chipping Campden is served by a local bus that runs from Stratford Upon Avon, which has a Railway Station. Stratford Upon Avon can also be reached by National Express Bus from major cities including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol and London.
Getting to Chipping Campden by Plane
The nearest Airport to Chipping Campden is Birmingham where you can get a bus to Birmingham Moor Street railway station and then a train to Stratford Upon Avon. You can also get a flight to London (Heathrow or Luton) and then get a National Express bus to Stratford Upon Avon.
Getting to Bath by Train
Direct train services run to Bath from a number of UK destinations including London Paddington Station, Cardiff, Brighton and Plymouth. A short 15 minute train journey takes you to Bristol which is a Main Station where you can catch trains for the rest of the country including the North of England cities and Scotland.
Getting to Bath by Bus
You can reach Bath on the Megabus which runs from London Victoria coach station or National Express services from London and Gatwick Airports as well as London Victoria coach station. There is also a bus service between Bristol Airport and Bath as well as many services to local towns and villages.
Getting to Bath by Plane
The closest Airport is Bristol, about 20 miles away serving over 100 destinations. From there a direct bus will take you into Bath.
